| I haven't posted on here in a loooong time so here it goes. i've
been busy with my artwork, of course, and i'm trying to build my
portfolio again since i sold most of my older work. i've got some
good pieces so far and i'm currently working on one of my Biblical
scenes of David and Jonathan. i'm really excited about it and i
only hope it works out the way i see it in my head. anyway, i
can't wait for the Harry Potter goblet of fire movie to come to
theaters, i'm really psyched about that. it's gonna be great  . anyway, i guess it's back to work for me.

| I went to the art show tonight for the juried art contest i entered,
first there was an awards ceremony then the opening of the
show. there were over 200 entries into the contest and only
about 100 actually made it into the show. so it was an honor just
to get accepted into the show. i didn't win anything though
:(. most of the winners were watercolors. it's like that every
year here, most of the winners are watercolors for some reason. not too
many people paint in oils here. i would say about 90 percent of
the people who entered were the elderly. they were really nice
though. and the winners were very good. maybe next year
i'll actually win something. the two pics below are of my work, i
look kinda shocked in the pic and i think i was about to laugh.
i took the two pics off because they were taking up too much room.

| Okay, so i dropped my artwork off yesterday at the gallery, everyone
please pray that i make it into the show!! :) I really hope i do,
it would be a great accomplishment especially considering all the great
artwork that is entered into this contest. it would be even
better if i actually won something . God's will be done.
Other than that, i ordered a 50 horror classics dvd boxed set of old
scary movies. i love the old black and white horror movies and i
think they are actually better than the horror flicks today. they
have the element of 'scary' without having a bunch of blood and
gore. i can't wait to get those.

| I thought i'd put an update. i haven't been able to type very
well since I had a july 4th accident with a sparkler :O. i burned
my thumb pretty bad and it's starting to heal now so i can move it a
lot better. i recently finished another portrait and i'm trying
to take a pic of it to post, but the paint is still wet so there is a
bad glare. hopefully i'll get a decent pic soon.

| i just finished a new piece the other day and thought i'd share:
i did this one on gessoed masonite panel so it handled a lot smoother
than stretched canvas. i wish i could have gotten better pics of
it but the glare was pretty sever in all the other ones.
anyway, i sell a lot on ebay and i recently sold some cosmetics on
there and clearly stated that i do not ship internationally for that
item, but for some bonehead reason, ebay stated 'free' shipping for
international and so now someone from canada has purchased the item and
i just know i will have some problems with that. they will probably
give me negative feedback when it's thier fault they didn't read the
whole description. oh well. hopefully it won't be a problem.
